Six round boxes are known, some still holding traces of what may have been wig powder. The earliest dates to 1675 and the latest to 1691, and they range in size from 5½” to 3¼” in diameter. Simple in form they carry the same decorative motifs as seen on the combs and comb cases.
The poor method of construction used for these round boxes may explain why we have recorded so few, when one might have expected more, as there were no doubt a lower priced trinket.
